Michigan Basketball opens Big Ten play Tonight

The Michigan basketball team has looked great against Central Connecticut State, Harvard and Delaware State. Unfortunately the Wolverines don’t play in the Northeast Conference, the Ivy League or the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. The team was badly outplayed by #1 UCLA and lost convincingly to Georgetown. We’ll begin to find out whether the Big Ten is closer in talent level to the Northeast and MEAC or the Pac Ten and Big East.

I’m expecting it to be closer to the latter. So Michigan will have their work cut out for them when they host Illinois tonight.
