Wings rest up a bit after grueling schedule

Detroit only has 33 games left in the season. The good news is they just made it through a tough stretch where they played 14 games in 25 days (from December 27th through January 20th). During that time period they went 9-3 before losing their last two games. So it wasn’t much of a shock that they were running on vapors during those last two games prior to the All Star break.

The good news is they only play 7 games over the three weeks from the All Star break start on January 21st through February 10th. That should help them get healthy and to mentally recover for the homestretch of the regular season.

Jay McKee will be out of the lineup for the Blues but Manny Legace will probably start the game for the Blues. Also check out Matt’s Gameday article over at On the Wings.
