Kuklas Korner linked to this article over at az central. Things aren’t going so well over in Glendale:

CEO Jeff Shumway said Friday that the hockey franchise is expected to hemorrhage about $30 million this year, compounding severe financial losses the team has suffered in recent years.

This is a franchise that has such poor fan support that they could double the price of tickets to games against the Red Wings, a team that has some of the best ticket sales across the entire NHL. They knew there would be no repurcussions because they have little to no fanbase and the few people who do support the team have ticket packages and would not be effected by the price increase.

This is one case where the corporate name on the arena accurately describes the organization to a tee: the jobing.com arena.
