Another Late Round Gem for the Wings
Red Wings Central has their latest prospect update and it is on Logan Pyett. He was drafted with the second to last pick by Detroit and has looked very good this season, piling up 62 points in 71 games.
“He’s one of those guys the new rules have really helped,” Red Wings assistant general manager Jim Nill said. “Size is a factor but he’s strong for his size and he’s one of those (Derek) Meech- or (Andrew) Ference-type guys. He’s a very good skater, he competes hard and he can move the puck.”
Pyett’s skating and point production make him a good bet for being re-signed by Detroit. RWC says he will play in the WHL again next season. If he improves on what has been a very good season thus far he could be a solid offensive defenseman prospect.
