Wings will play Calgary in the first round of the playoffs

Colorado’s great run came up at least a game short. The Avs lost to Nashville 3-2 tonight, which means Colorado has no chance of passing Calgary for the 8th playoff seed. Even if the Avalanche would have won they were likely done regardless as the Flames have a 2-0 lead on a listless Edmonton team.

The first game of the Calgary-Detroit series will be on Thursday or Friday.
