Bruce MacLeod of the Macomb Daily continues to be the best source for the latest updates on the Red Wings. Here is what he’s posted over at his Red Wings Corner blog today:

>Henrik Zetterberg and Mathieu Schneider did not practice today but are expected to play tomorrow night.

>Valterri Filppula centered the 2nd line in practice.

>Either Todd Bertuzzi or Mikael Samuelsson will play on the 1st line, with the other player set to play on the 2nd line.

>Tomas Holmstrom won’t play at least until Game 4.

>Brett Lebda likely will not play until Game 5.

In minor league action the Grand Rapids Griffins have a chance to advance to the second round if they can defeat the Manitoba Moose tonight. The Griffins hold a 3-2 lead in the series but are down 1-0 at the end of the first period. It would be an impressive upset if the Griffins can take the series.
