How long til live NHL games are only available on Sopcast?

Via Bolts Blog, Deadspin has a blurb on the decision by Tampa’s NBC affiliate to show a telethon rather than Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

WFLA, Channel 8 in Tampa, is opting to air the All Children’s Telethon instead of Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

I really hope the children who benefit from this telethon realize they have deprived 100 or so people in the Tampa area from watching the Stanley Cup Finals. I kid, but what’s the over/under on how long it’s going to be until live NHL games can only be viewed on Sopcast? I say 2010.
