Tigers miss two PATs, beat Rangers 19-6

So I expected the Tigers offense to start cooking with kerosene when Curtis Granderson was activated but I didn’t expect it to happen quite this quickly! Jim Leyland also said he’d juggle his infield, putting Miguel Cabrera at first and Carlos Guillen at third. It didn’t happen tonight as Guillen stayed at first and Caberea was the DH, but the Tigers nonetheless rocked Texas on Granderson’s return.

Grandy had two hits, two walks, scored three runs and drove in 2 runs. That’s what I’m talking about. Guillen went 3-4 with a walk and drove in 5 runs. Cabrera had a three run bomb that scored Guillen and Magglio Ordonez.

If the Tiges can score 19 runs a game they are going to win a lot of baseball games. But seriously, this is an auspicious start. Welcome back Curtis.
