That quote is from team owner Mike Illitch. This season comes to a merciful end tonight and then the work to strip away the detritus and find the core of this team begins. Some moves have already been made.
Many more can be expected this offseason. The Tigers will need to find pitching coaches and a closer as the bullpen was obviously their biggest weakness this offseason.
